Fun Fact: Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, NY was constructed on the site of Roosevelt Field, an airport and military airfield where Charles Lindbergh began his historic trans-Atlantic flight. The mall was opened in 1956 and is the largest shopping mall on Long Island, New York.
